The Young Scot Strategy
Co-created with young people and a variety of partners, our 2016-2019 strategy highlights the impact we want to make with young people and how we plan to deliver our promises.
As young people are at the heart of what we do, it is only right that they should play a huge role in informing and shaping our vision. Our strategy is co-created with young people to make sure our actions are meeting their needs.
This strategy is guiding what we do but the important part is the delivery. If we can work together to deliver on our shared ambitions - or if you have any questions about the strategy - then please get in contact and we would be delighted to help.
Our Strategic Impact
From all of the work we do we know young people are passionate, positive, active, creative and innovative. They are also compassionate, caring deeply about their families, friends and communities.
We believe that young people are not Scotland’s future, they are powerful and positive assets to our communities here and now.
As such, our approach to developing our 2016-2019 strategy has been to engage as many people – young people and stakeholders – as possible to help us understand the direction we should be heading in over the next three years and the needs we should meet.
It puts young people at the heart of our services and underpins our contribution to the delivery of the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, National Performance Framework, Single Outcome Agreements, Curriculum for Excellence, GIRFEC and a wide range of other key policies.
