Information Offering

Scotland's Best Information and Digital Content for Young People

We know that by providing relevant, trusted and engaging information, young people are able to gain knowledge that helps empower them to make informed decisions and choices.

We offer a holistic information service and strive to provide relevant youth-related content that is both responsive and reactive to the needs of all young people in Scotland. Our work is informed through user insight and monitoring trends and interactions. We work across multiple digital and social platforms,  ensuring information is delivered in a manner relevant to young people’s varied needs.

Digital Content

From money management, study tips, to body confidence and relationships, Young.Scot is Scotland's leading online information hub for young people.

It contains hyper-localised information, events and news across all 32 local council areas. We promote information articles through social media and also understand the importance of tailoring information to suit different platforms to reach young people in networks that they daily interact with.

We publish daily on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat and regularly on YouTube and YS TheFeed – providing a rich mixture of content for our audience.

Content Campaigns

Our approach to content creation is simple and straightforward. We’d also like to say it can also be fun and you can be involved as little or as much as you want with the campaign.

All our work is underpinned by our digital strategy. At the heart of this strategy is a simple ethos: to create content for young people, in a format they can engage with, on the channels they use most often when they need it most.

We focus on visual and interactive content across multiple platforms that meet the needs of young people matched to behaviour and journey into adulthood.
