‘Digi, Aye?’, a new campaign to improve cyber security knowledge and resilience among young people has been launched by Young Scot
Young Scot, Scotland’s national youth information charity, has been asked by the Scottish Government and UK Government to run an online content campaign to provide young people aged 11-26 in Scotland with advice and information on cyber security, resilience and careers in digital technology.
Over the next six months, ‘Digi, Aye?’ will use Scotland’s biggest youth information portal www.young.scot to reach young people. The campaign will also be running on Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram. A group of young volunteer vloggers is being recruited by Young Scot to front the next part of the campaign.
‘Digi, Aye? will cover hot topics including staying safe on social media, safe browsing and access to the internet, protecting your digital identity, making purchases online, how to have a ‘digital cleanse’ and online dating. Young people will also be able to take part in the campaign through Young Scot’s Rewards programme.
The campaign is part of the Cyber Resilience Strategy for Scotland which supports the country becoming a world leader in cyber resilience by 2020. ‘Digi, aye?’ will run from September 2017 to February 2018.
