#YSAttain: Supporting the wellbeing of young parents facing additional barriers

The 'Attainment Challenge: National Strategic Partnership #YSAttain' is a partnership between Young Scot, the Scottish Government, several local authorities, Transport Scotland, the Improvement Service and the National Entitlement Card Programme Office.

One of our partners is Dundee City Council, and we’ve been supporting them to offer free meals, bus travel and additional Young Scot Rewards linked to health and wellbeing to young people facing financial barriers.

Creative Scotland's Nurturing Talent Fund supports creative 11-25-year-olds to develop their chosen mediums, passions and talents. These include short film-making, music production, publishing, poetry, photography, recording demos and hosting events. This round of the Nurturing Talent Fund sees nearly 40 projects receiving over £36,000 of support.

Young people shaping the Young Person’s Guarantee

In response to the enormous impact of the pandemic on young people’s lives, the Scottish Government launched the Young Person’s Guarantee. It will give young people the support they need to succeed – based on their own personal ambitions – and focussed on those who need it most. It aims to give all 16-24-year-olds in Scotland, the chance to succeed through the opportunity of a job, apprenticeship, education, training or volunteering.
