Falkirk FC – ‘The Bairns’ – have announced a new partnership with Young Scot, Scotland’s national youth Information and citizenship Charity.
To encourage young people to be more active, Young Scot Cardholders now receive a 10 per cent discount on Falkirk FC training camps and 10 percent off club pitch hire. Later this season, Falkirk FC will be inviting all Young Scot Cardholders to attend a home game for free.
On match days at Falkirk Stadium, Young Scot Cardholders can show their card to prove their age and access Falkirk’s cheaper tickets for under 18s and free match day tickets for under 12s.
Available free to all young people living or studying in Scotland aged 11 until they are 26, there are over 685,000 Young Scot National Entitlement Cardholders across the country.
The new partnership was launched by defender Peter Grant and James Craigen at Falkirk Stadium.
The partnership is the first of its kind between Young Scot and a professional football club and comes ahead of the Year of Young People 2018. The new partnership highlights the positive impact of the football community to bring individuals, families and the communities together and encourage young people to be physically active.
Kieran Koszary, FFC Commercial Director, “As a club we are delighted to become partners with Young Scot, and once again it shows our commitment to working with young people across Scotland, who will be our fans of the future”.
Louise Macdonald, Chief Executive of Young Scot, said: “For young football fans this is a brilliant new partnership. The new discounts and opportunities will help bring the community together and make it cheaper for young people to get active and play football with their friends.”
