Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards
Young Scot has worked in partnership with the Sunday Mail
for the last six years to recognise and celebrate the outstanding
achievements of young people in Scotland.
The Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards, in association with The Co-operative
Foundation celebrates unsung heroes, aged between 11 and 26,
who have made a positive impact on their local or wider
communities, and have been an inspiration to Scotland and its
people.
There are 13 award categories, ranging from arts to volunteering, health, entertainment and community. The three finalists in each category are invited along to the glittering awards ceremony, where they are treated like VIPs for the night.
The awards aim to give a more balanced representation of young people in the media to help combat negative sterotypes and to showcase the positive work that young people are undertaking across the country.
