European Youth Card Association (EYCA) The European Youth Card Association (EYCA) aims to promote youth mobility, culture and information services for young people across Europe through a reciprocal youth card scheme, the Euro<26 card. Young Scot are one of 41 youth card organisations in 38 European countries, using the Euro<26 logo on their cards and this means that Young Scot NEC Cardholders can access information, services and discounts in all 38 member countries, making it easier for young people in Europe to spread their wings. European Youth Information and Counselling Association (ERYICA)Young Scot are a member of the European Youth Information and Counselling Association (ERYICA) which is an international non-profit association based in Luxembourg. There are 25 members in the ERYICA network, working in 26 countries, providing reliable information under the principles of the European Youth Information Charter. Young Scot is the Scottish representative and we continue to actively develop reliable and accessible information for young people. Our membership to the ERYICA also enables us to train our Information Officers and share ideas and methods of information sharing with all 25 members at regular meetings. Eurodesk UKThe British Council operate Eurodesk UK which aims to encourage 13 – 30 year olds to take advantage of European opportunities available to them and encourage European mobility. A key part of this is providing youth workers and young people with information on European opportunities and funding. We are a regional partner of Eurodesk and this means that we handle all information enquiries from young people in Scotland. European Information Channel What's the capital of Croatia? How can young people volunteer in Scandinavia? What's the currency in Poland? Did sprouts really first come from Brussels? Young Scot launched a brand new European Channel on our InfoLine website in April 2009. The channel provides young people with information on Europe and the endless opportunities available to experience it, through travelling, working, studying and participating in the work of the EU institutions.
