Who We Work With

Our Partners

At Young Scot we have a joined up way of working. Everything we do is done in partnership. We believe that partnership is key to our work with young people and without their support we wouldn't be able to achieve such positive outcomes for young people in Scotland.

We are privileged to work alongside partners at national and local level in support of the National Performance Framework and Single Outcome Agreements, as well as key policy drivers relating to Health & Wellbeing, Equally Well, Justice and a Curriculum for Excellence.

National Government

Young Scot works in partnership with a number of Scottish Government Directorates in the provision of information services for young people, including education; health; justice; finance, social inclusion, communities, and social justice.

Local Government

Our partnerships with COSLA and all 32 Scottish Local Authorities through Dialogue Youth, Young Scot's local authority network,  initiative are crucial to our work in empowering young people to make informed decisions and choices.

Public Sector

Working with public bodies is essential in joining up services for young people across Scotland. Our partners include: NHS Health Scotland; Skills Development Scotland; sportscotland; Creative Scotland, COSLA, ACPOS and Education Scotland.

Voluntary Sector

Young Scot works in partnership with the voluntary sector at local and national level, through organisations such as YouthLink Scotland, the Scottish Youth Parliament, Youth Scotland, CSV Scotland, Project Scotland and local community planning partners.

Private Sector

Our links with the business community greatly enhance the work done by Young Scot for the benefit of young people across Scotland. As well as our national and local discount partners, our business partners include:  Microsoft, Storm ID and Sunday Mail.

Young People

Our most important partner is with young people themselves. Independent market research (conducted via "Being Young In Scotland 2009") showed that 98% of young people have an awareness of Young Scot and the services we offer. Young people are involved at the very heart of the organisation and their feedback and input helps shape all the services and projects we deliver.

If you share our passion to give young people in Scotland the best possible outcomes, please don't hesitate to get in touch with our Communications Director, Gregor Urquhart, on gregoru@youngscot.org.
